CECIS facilitates communication between the EU Monitoring
and Information Centre (MIC) and national authorities, making response to
disasters faster and more effective. The main purpose of CECIS is to host a
database on potentially available assets for use in emergencies. MIC contact
points are available 24 hours a day.
