B. Coordinated Extended Pollution Control Operations (CEPCO) Programme 2008‑2013 (including preliminary long-term CEPCO Programme)

Lead Countries shall inform all Contracting Parties as soon as possible of the intended dates and area of any CEPCO. Contracting Parties shall inform the Lead Country without delay about their intentions with regard to participation.

In 2008

· Super-CEPCO to be coordinated by Denmark , supported by Norway and Sweden .

In 2009

· Regional CEPCO to be co-ordinated by The Netherlands, to take place between 1 August and 30 September. The sea area: Entrance to Scheldt to Terschellingerbank. Cooperation with UK and Belgium .

In 2010

· Super-CEPCO (all Contracting Parties to be invited to participate) to be coordinated by France and United Kingdom . Period of time to be defined. Area: the Channel.

In 2011

· Extended CEPCO (all Contracting Parties being invited to participate) to be coordinated by Ireland and France . Period of time to be defined. Area: Brest area to Cork (tbd).

In 2012

· Sub-regional CEPCO flights in the Skagerrak area to be executed by Denmark , Norway and Sweden . Coordinator to be appointed.
Period of time: preferably March-April; evaluation report to OTSOPA in May 2012

· Sub-regional CEPCO flights in the Dover Straits to Rotterdam area to be executed by United Kingdom , Belgium and The Netherlands. Coordinator to be appointed.
Period of time: preferably March-April; evaluation report to OTSOPA in May 2012

In 2013

· Super-CEPCO flights in the BALTIC area. Major combined effort by Bonn Agreement Contracting Parties and HELCOM. Surface vessel support; satellite imagery.
Further programme to be decided. Special team to organise this CEPCO.

C. Exercise Programme for 2007 – 2011

In 2007

· Belgium to organise an alarm exercise.

· Germany to organise the annual DenGerNeth exercise (in week 31)

· The Netherlands to organise an oil spill exercise for training of new aircraft

· The Netherlands to organise a test programme (1 day) with Ocean Buster

In 2008

· Sweden to organise an alarm exercise

· Germany to organise the annual DenGerNeth exercise

· Netherlands to organise an exercise in the Quadripartite Zone

In 2009

· France to organise an alarm exercise

· Netherlands to organise a national exercise involving trailing-suction hopper dredgers and equipment

In 2010

· Ireland to organise an alarm exercise

In 2011

· Norway to organise an alarm exercise

Note: Individual initiatives from Contracting Parties should be reported to the Research, Trials and Training Group and to other Contracting Parties and copied to the Secretariat . Expanded CEPCOs are considered to fulfil the role of previous Bonn Agreement inter-comparison exercises for aerial surveillance purposes.
